Well Listed American artist DOUGLAS ARTHUR TEED
Estate Fresh - His Record High is  $16,000 at Auction

It is offered with NO RESERVE through our eBay store, (eBay seller id  estate-sale-warehouse). It is a very large and exceptional original oil painting of camels crossing the desert by well-listed American artist Douglas Arthur Teed (1864 - 1929). This painting of a stunning  and sweeping desert landscape has been in the same family or well over 60 years. One of Teed's last, it is dated 1929 the same year of the painter's death. Painting measures approx. 41" x 19"; with frame, 47 3/4" x 26".

Douglas Arthur Teed is known as an American Romantic and and spent the years of 1907-1911 travelling through Cairo, Egypt, Morocco, India and Algeria where he painted and detailed studies. According to Teed, "a picture should aim higher than to please the eye alone – that it should be so high in its intent, so true in its treatment that all normal minds should be benefited and educated by it…"
